Welcome to Palmwoods Florist and Gifts
COVID-19 POLICY

Contact-Free Delivery

Limiting contact when delivering orders to recipients will help keep everyone healthy. Effective immediately and to remain in effect until otherwise advised, all Palmwoods Florist deliveries are now to be carried out as contact-free where possible. This is how it will work:

Home deliveries:

  1. Couriers will knock so as to announce their arrival.
  2. Leave the flowers on the doorstep if safe to do so.
  3. Wait for up to two minutes so as to greet the recipient at a safe distance of at least 1.5m from the door.

All other delivery locations:

  • Deliveries to a Business, School, Hospital, Aged Care Facility and all other location types are to be left at reception, if applicable.
  • Our courier will adhere to safe distancing with other people.

By implementing this change we are acting to ensure that we minimise transmission as much as possible, protecting our florists, couriers and the people they deliver to, while still continuing to deliver beautiful flower arrangements.

Customer Special Instructions:

Further to this, Palmwoods Florist is also encouraging our customers to add special delivery instructions that may assist with a successful and safe delivery.

Hygiene & Safety Standards

To prevent the spread of infection, we strongly adhere the additional hygiene and preparedness protocols to ensure we are taking care of our health as well as protecting others:

  • Washing hands frequently
    • Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water.
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
    • Hands touch many surfaces and can pick up viruses. Once contaminated, hands can transfer the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth. From there, the virus can enter your body and can make you sick.
  • Practice respiratory hygiene
    • Make sure you, and the people around you, follow good respiratory hygiene. This means covering your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose of the used tissue immediately.
  • Clean common areas and workstations
    • Regularly clean high-touch surfaces such as door handles, aprons, benchtops, shop phones and kitchen appliances.
  • Avoiding close contact with others
    • We recommend reducing close contact with staff and other people (e.g 3rd party delivery drivers) such as touching. Where possible, try to encourage a minimum of 1 meter distance between other working staff.
